This beach is located at the end of the Kalalau trail, a 6-10 hour walk for
most hikers. Long, wide picturesque beach, worth the hike.

Wild beach, unprotected from the open ocean. Best reached with 4 wheel
drive vehicle.

Interesting lava shelves that become tidepools at low tide, good for
seeing small sea creatures. Usually safe swimming all year round. The
only salt
pond still used by Hawaiians today to make sea salt. PLEASE Do
not enter
salt making area without permission.
